Southern Nevada Area
The groups in the Southern Nevada Area have joined together in an expression of our First Concept, which states, “To fulfill our fellowship`s primary purpose, the NA groups have joined together to create a service structure which develops, coordinates, and maintains services on behalf of NA as a whole.” We also believe in protecting the fundamental principals of our First and Ninth Traditions, which state respectively: “Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends on NA unity.” And “NA, as such, ought never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve.”
The mission of the Southern Nevada Area is to provide service as a collective effort of the groups and members in the Southern Nevada Area. The focus for all the Southern Nevada Area`s activities should be to enhance the ASC`s ability to better serve the groups and help make the NA message of recovery more available to the addict who still suffers. Our primary purpose of carrying the message to the still-suffering addict inspires all that we do. Honesty, trust and goodwill are the foundation for these ideals.
